30th Anniversary Walk for Peace, Vancouver
Saturday, June 30, 2012.
meet at 12:00, walk at 1:00pm
We gather at Kitsilano Beach at 12 noon to celebrate peace, then, at 1 o’clock walk together, united in peace, along Cornwall Avenue, over the Burrard Street Bridge, west along Pacific Boulevard to the natural amphitheater of Sunset Beach Park at Bute and Beach Avenue.
Following the walk there will be an afternoon of speakers, musicians, multi-cultural performers and special events on the mainstage.
This is an opportunity to be pro-active and join together with thousands of like-minded peace-conscious participants in a walking meditation for peace, joy and harmony in the world. The sheer power of our collective unity for peace will ostensibly change the world.
Following the walk there will be an afternoon of speakers, musicians, multi-cultural performers and special events on the main stage.
So please come out; dress up; bring peace banners; be creative, express what peace means to you, for united we stand in the power of numbers. “There is no way to peace, peace is the way.”
