Kate LeBlanc graduated from the UBC Midwifery Education Program in May 2016. Originally
from New Brunswick, Kate has been actively involved in the integration of midwifery services in her home province through her work with the Midwives Association of NB, the Midwifery Council of NB and the Canadian Association of Midwives. Kate has worked with midwives in Mexico and Uganda and participates in a peer mentorship program with South Sudanese midwives. She has published research on home birth in NB and
is currently researching the use of traditional remedies. Kate has training in the use of acupuncture in labour and enjoys providing this option for clients. She speaks English, French and Spanish.
